A favorite Bible verse says, "This is the day the Lord has made: let us rejoice and be glad in it!"  You may think,  "What naive optimism!  This day is no different than any other.

However, when you believe that God has a purpose for your life and a purpose for each day, you begin to realize that the verse really does apply to any day, to this day!  Because this day is a gift from God, made in his plan, people of faith can overcome the normal fears that face all of us.
